Abstract:Abstract: Objective To study the causes of recurrent sinusitis and polyps after endoscopic sinus surgery and the relative factors affecting the therapeutic effect of revisional endoscopic sinus surgery. Methods Revisional endoscopic sinus surgery was performed on 79 cases (105 sides) of recurrent sinusitis, and all patients received combined treatments including perioperative conservative management and nasal endoscopic examination during the followup period. Results All patients had been followed up for more than one year. Of 79 cases, 55 cases (70 sides) were cured, 14 cases (22 sides) were improved, the other 10 cases (13 sides) were ineffective, with a total effective rate of 87.34%; no serious complication occurred. Conclusion The operative efficacy can be greatly improved by preoperative CT scan, complete haemostasis and correct choice of anatomic landmarks during operation.
