Abstract:Objectiv To analyze the results of bacterial culture and drug sensitivity test of purulent secretion of external auditory canal in patients with chronic suppurative otitis media in Chongqing, and to provide the basis for rational drug use before and after operation of chronic suppurative otitis media. Method 106 patients with chronic otitis media from January 2020 to May 2021 were selected as the research objects. The purulent secretion of the affected ear was taken for bacterial culture and drug sensitivity test. Results Among the 106 patients, 85 cases were detected pathogens, the detection rate was 80.19%, 107 strains of pathogens were detected. Among them, there were 51 strains of Gram-positive bacteria (47.66%), mainly Staphylococcus aureus (19 strains each, 17.76%); 27 strains of Gram-negative bacteria (25.23%), mainly Pseudomonas aeruginosa (8 strains, 7.48%); 29 strains of fungi (27.10%), mainly yeast like fungi (12 strains, 11.21%). The results of drug sensitivity test of Staphylococcus aureus showed that: Staphylococcus aureus has high sensitivity to benzoxacillin, quinoloptin / daprotin, rifampin and vancomycin, reaching 100%, and high resistance to erythromycin, penicillin and clindamycin. The results of drug sensitivity test showed that Pseudomonas aeruginosa was highly sensitive to ceftazidime, cefepime, imipenem, piperacillin / tazobactam, amikacin and gentamicin, reaching 100%, and highly resistant to ampicillin, cefazolin and compound sulfamethoxazole. Conclusion The main pathogens of chronic otitis media in Chongqing are Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and yeast like fungi. The climate in Chongqing is humid and the positive rate of fungi is high. We should pay attention to fungal infection in the treatment of chronic suppurative otitis media.
