Abstract:Objective: To investigate the surgical treatment and experience of fibrous dysplasia of paranasal sinuses involving skull base or orbit under nasal endoscopic. Method: The clinical date of 13 patients treated with endoscopic surgical strategy for fibrous dysplasia of paranasal sinuses involving skull base or orbit, combined with the surgical and postoperative treatment and the effect to conduct comprehensive exploration. Result: All of patients exhibited no severe complications, the affected skull base or orbital lesions were completely resected, no ocular dysfunction and cerebrospinal fluid rhinorrhea were observed. Follow-up period ranged from 6 to 48 months, aAll patients had no recurrence. Conclusion: For patients with fibrous dysplasia of paranasal sinuses involving skull base or orbit, nasal endoscopy combined with navigation and plasma technology can completely remove the diseased tissue to achieve the effect of functional reconstruction.
