Abstract:Objective To analyze the relationship between eosinophils and serum specific IgE in patients with chronic rhinosinusitis with polyposis and their clinical characteristics. Methods?? 192 patients with chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyp who underwent functional endoscopic sinus surgery from June 2019 to June 2021 were selected and divided into SIgE-positive group and SIgE-negative group based on the results of serum-specific IgE monitoring. The eosinophil count, preoperative VAS score, Lund-Mackay CT score, and Lund- Kennedy score were compared between the two groups. Results: There was no statistical significance in gender, age and VAS scores between the two groups (P>0.05); There was no statistical difference in the number of cases between SIgE-positive and whether ECRS is infiltrated (P>0.05); In terms of clinical characteristics, there were significant differences in preoperative VAS score, Lund-Mackay CT score and Lund-Kennedy score between SiGe-positive ECRS infiltration group and the other three groups. CONCLUSIONS? There is no positive correlation between the infiltration degree of eosinophil and allergic reaction in patients with chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyp; The subjective and objective symptoms of patients with chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyp were aggravated when the ECRS infiltration coexistedwith SIgE-positive.
