Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical characteristics and prognostic factors of sudden sensorineural hearing loss in middle-young-agedSpeople. Methods A total of 147 patients with sudden sensorineural hearing loss who were treated in the department of Otolaryngology of the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University from June 2020 to May 2022 were selected.SAccording to the age of the patients, they were divided into the experimental group (n=74) aged 20 to 55 years, and the control group (n=73) aged 56 to 80 years. The clinical data of the two groups of sudden sensorineural hearing loss patients were retrospectively analyzed, and the clinical characteristics and prognosis of the two groups were compared.SResults There was no significant difference in the general condition between the two groups. In terms of hypertension, diabetes, cerebrovascular diseases and other basic diseases, the experimental group was significantly lower than the control group(P<0.01);There was no significant difference in clinical symptoms such as tinnitus, ear tightness and vertigo between the two groups(P>0.05);Comparison of grade, type and clinical efficacy of hearing loss. The hearing loss in the experimental group was mild (P<0.05), mainly of low-frequency decline type, the total clinical effective rate of the experimental group was higher, and the differences were statistically significant (P< 0.001). Conclusion Middle-young-aged patients with sudden sensorineural hearing loss have the clinical characteristics of less basic diseases, less hearing damage, mainly low-frequency decline type. Through clinical active treatment, the curative effect is often significant and the prognosis is remarkable.
