Objective Discuss the application effect of facial advancement flap in the repair of nasal dorsum skin defect.Methods It was collected for the clinical data of 5 patients with skin defects after resection of nasal dorsum skin tumors admitted to the department of otorhinolaryngology of Taizhou people’s hospital from January 2019 to June 2023. All skin defects were repaired with facial advancement flaps.Results The incision margins of all 5 patients were negative. The size of the defect was 1.0 cm×1.0 cm-2.5 cm×3.0 cm. There was no flap necrosis. After 10 to 36 months of follow-up, there was no tumor recurrence. The postoperative scars were not obvious, and no complications.Conclusion The operation of the facial advancement flap is simple. The skin flap has sufficient blood supply, good healing, no obvious scar and good cosmetic effect. It is a relatively ideal method for repairing nasal dorsum skin defects.
